We believe a Christian should behave like a Christian. Student insubordination is absolutely forbidden.

OUR INTENSE EVANGELISTIC ATMOSPHERE

All faculty, staff, and students are required to go soulwinning each week. Students participate in the evangelistic ministry of The Richmond Outreach Center (The ROC), which builds its ministry around personal soulwinning. In 2008, over 22,000 people were won to Jesus Christ through the ministries and people of The ROC.

OUR BIBLICAL EMPHASIS

We believe in a physical Hell and a physical Heaven. We believe every word in the Bible is inspired by the Holy Spirit of God and is just as relevant for today as it ever was.

OUR EMPHASIS ON THE PRACTICAL

We blend the finest of scholarship with the best practical teaching possible. We teach not only what to do, but how to do it. Students are taught every aspect of doing inner-city ministry and will be fully-equipped to do the work God has called them to do.

OUR UNIQUE STYLE OF MINISTRY

We are loud, excited, and bold about Jesus! We believe in using new and exciting ways to reach the inner city, and we are not scared to try something, even if nobody else is doing it.

OUR NON-TRADITIONAL BELIEFS

We believe that just because other places have always done things a certain way does not mean we have to do things that way also. We believe in following what the Bible says is right and wrong over what man says is right and wrong. We believe if something is not working, do not use it just because “That’s how it’s always been done!”

The complete story of The ROC School of Urban Ministry cannot be told in a catalog. Only eternity will reveal the countless souls that will be won to Jesus Christ and the many lives that will be changed by R.S.U.M. students and graduates.
